Explore Caen in 60 minutes with a Local

After starting the day in the drizzly rain, and wondering why we were bothering to go out, we had a fabulous experience on our 90 minute tour with Didier. Didier offered to drive us to the three main sights which really made our day given the distances to cover were not insignificant given the timeframe. Didier was such a gentleman and extremely informative. He brought all the history of Caen to life and tailored the tour to suit our interests. We did a number of laps around the round about outside William the Conquerers resting place and the Abbaye aux Hommes to ensure we got good pictures before we entered the Abbaye. Didier certainly went above and beyond what we expected. Such a pleasure to be with. At the end of the tour he dropped us back in a lovely part of Caen we hadn’t seen before at a pretty restaurant area so we could relax and have a meal before we headed back to our hotel. After a miserable drizzly start it ended up being a fabulous day. Thankyou Didier. Perfect.
