View on Google MapsI was travelling solo on a bus to Bukkitinggi for my 35th birthday to hopefully see a Rafflesia flower in bloom and got chatting to Doni about being my guide for a 3 day private trip exploring the surrounds. Well what luck! He turned out to have amazing local knowledge and took me to see some of the best sights the region has on offer such Puncak Taruko and Istano Basa Pagaruyung. For our meals we also stopped in at some of the best cafes and local cheap eats restaurants to dine and sip delicious coffee with the locals, it really was an immersive trip with Doni’s friendly approach and love of his country’s culture. High recommended!
Our guide, Doni, and our driver, Toni, were absolutely wonderful. Doni answered all of our questions and gave us so much information and took us to so many interesting places. I considered the traffic as being nothing less than hazardous but Toni handled the traffic perfectly. Doni and Toni spoke English clearly and we were all able to communicate with no problem. Our nighttime accommodations were exactly what we asked for. Both men were very pleasant and made our trip to Sumatra an experience to remember.

Amazing trip organized by Pak Doni and we're really happy during this trip, especially about Pacu jawi in Batusangkar. look forward to coming back again to this place.
We were a group Tour Photography from abroad. We visited West Sumatra for 4 days 3 nights. Pak Doni organized the trip very well. The Hotel, food and car are really amazing. We also had some photo events here, such as Pencak Silat, Pacu Jawi, Photoshoot session in Kelok 9 and Pagaruyung Palace. We look forward to coming again to West Sumatra.
It was really amazing trip exploring Minangkabau Land with Minangkabau Adventures Tour. We had some events photoshoot here and Pak Doni organized it really well. We had three days trip to explore West Sumatra, started from Padang, Bukittinggi, Harau Valley and Batusangkar. The most interesting event we saw was Bull Race in Batusangkar. Hope in the near future we will come back again to Minangkabau Land.
