View on Google MapsI had an amazing time in Burundi!! Our guide was incredible! Such a beautiful country!! Would recommend! The drum sanctuary was great! The lake is beautiful!
Had a great 3-day visit to Burundi and were very wll looked after by Augustine Tours and our guide Thierry. Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika was a great place to stay with comfortable rooms and good food. The roads are bumpy so travellong takes a long time but seeing the country was a great experience and all the stops were worthwhile. Burundo is friendly, safe and definitely recommended for somewhere different.
My husband and I had the joy of exploring Burundi with Augustine Tours, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From witnessing the mesmerizing performances of the royal drummers to seeing the source of the Nile, every moment was filled with cultural richness and natural beauty. Augustine Tours was an exceptional tour company, providing seamless organization and impeccable service throughout our journey. We felt well taken care of and immersed in the vibrant tapestry of Burundian culture. Our guide was truly outstanding, offering deep insights into the history, traditions, and landscapes of Burundi. His passion for his country was contagious, enhancing our appreciation for every stop along the way. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Augustine Tours to anyone seeking an authentic and enriching exploration of Burundi, as well as the other countries where they offer tours. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

Burundi is not a common destination for Americans and frankly I was a bit nervous. This country deserves more than the three days we spent there. Wasting no time, Hippo, our guide picked us up whisked us off to Parc National de la Rusizi. He communicated well in English and was able to explain the historical background and future trajectory for Burundi. We covered much of the country including the Chautes de la Karena and the source of the Nile. I would highly recommend Burundi to any adventurer who is looking for a less touristy destination in Africa.
Great experience and completely professional! Both the tour organizer Augustin and Burundian guide Hypolite were amazing and made me truly enjoy my short trip to Burundi.
Most of the sights are very remarkable: 1. Livingstone-Stanley Stone (both European explorers before colonization) 2. the shrines of Muramvya, Giheta,.... 3. the good beaches very impressive with good climate 4. Several lakes in Burundi 5. museums 6. the royal palace 7. tambourine,......
It was difficult finding a travel agency until I saw a recommendation in Lonely Planet Guide. The agent helped me arrange a visa, a tour and a good hotel at a reasonable price I could afford. I was very grateful. The guide was excellent and as conscientious as anyone could be. All together, I could not have traveled there on my own without their help.
