We spent a nice afternoon learning how to prepare mate. And we learned the proper way to drink it. We tasted three different types. It was fun and educational. We had an excellent guide.

Loved the museum de mate! Would recommend to anyone visiting Buenos Aires wanting to learn more about mate. Don’t skip out on the tasting!! Santiago taught me a lot about Yerba and we loved it so much we took some home!

The museum is located in a very elegant historic palace in Buenos Aires. It contains a collection of more than 3000 Mates of all kinds and is beautiful to visit. Upstairs there is the bar where you can have a tasting and then take the Mate with you for the rest of the visit. I opted for the guided tour which was very interesting and exciting. Thanks to Juana for the guided tour and Santiago for the Mate tasting. Two young guys and very prepared and nice.

To visit and above all you absolutely must do the mate tasting. The explanation of the production process and the social value of mate for Argentines is an immersion in Argentine life. Super satisfied
