Sayulita Local Flavors

What a fun day. Sayulita is a cute little town and lunch at Mary's was outstanding. It was fun spending time with Alejandro who shared interesting anecdotes about local customs, history, food, flora & fauna, and life in Jalisco and Nayarit.

My husband & I had never been to Sayulita before, and decided a guided tour would be the best choice for us. We got so much more than we expected. Alejandro (our guide) picked us up at our hotel and took us on a truly cultural journey. We enjoyed every moment; the cacao museum, delicious street tacos, road side grocery (where we purchased fresh pineapple and bananas), and a couple other cultural surprises along the way. We were in Sayulita before we knew it, exploring the streets, having a delicious lunch at Mary's, and checking out the vibrant beach. Alejandro answered all our questions throughout the day (and we had many) and tailored the experience to our abilities and interests. I would highly reccomend this tour.

Amazing time and amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and knew many people as we walked thru the streets. Very comfortable transportation and extremely knowledgeable regarding the town, the area and of course the food! Will use again and refer to others.

I had a wonderful time with Alejandro and Miguel. Their English is very good and they were full of information. They told us to come hungry and they meant it! We ate a lot of delicious food! One of the best tours I have been on. We are coming back to Puerto Vallarta in 2 months and I will be reaching out for more from Luna Tours.

Our tour guide, Alejandro, was outstanding— knowledgeable, easy-going and attentive to our preferences. He was a good conversationalist, but also gave us our space, letting us really enjoy our time in Sayulita — and the food choices were a lot of fun. I don’t like tours but would definitely take another with Alejandro. This was among the best tours I have ever taken.

Alejandro was an excellent guide with lots of interesting information on the Nayarit area both historical and current day. We especially enjoyed the Planeto Cacao , tasty and informative. Our guide chose a delicious variety of food and drink with lots of opportunities to explore and shop Sayulita. We will send our family with him next time we’re visiting.

Alejandro was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable about Mexico and the diverse cultures, foods, and languages. He took us on a little food tour of Sayulita, including a stop at a cocoa spot while en route to Sayulita. I cannot recommend him enough! If you’re in Puerto Vallarta and want to check out Sayulita, Yelapa, or any other day trips, Alejandro is your guy! When we are back in Puerto Vallarta, we will definitely hit him up!
