I had a fantastic time on the Wine Bar Crawl with Bordeaux Wine Trails, led by John. It was the perfect mix of fun and learning - not just about the Wine but also about the city of Bordeaux. We visited several charming wine bars, each with its own unique vibe and welcoming hosts. John was an exceptional guide. He walked us through the basic of wine tasting in a way that was approachable and enjoyable, emphasizing that Wine should be savoured in the moment rather than overthinking it. The wines were paired with delicious local snacks- cheeses, charcuterie, speads, etc. All top-notch! My highlight of this tour, was trying natural wines, which was a first for me. I was pleasently surprised by their character and depth. Whether you're new to wine or a seasoned sipper, i highly recommend joining one of John's tours. Great vibes, excellent wines and new things to learn along the way!

Laura was extremely knowledgeable and fun! I would sign up for another tour with her, in fact we tried to but our time in Bordeaux was sadly too short!
Entering the wine cellar was a cool intro and then the wines and pairings came. A large map shows the sub-regions of Bordeaux which were explained. As a novice wine drinker I appreciated the skills taught to identify the wines as well as Cheese and chocolate pairings (some worked/didn't work for different people in my group's palates). The experienced wine enthusiasts in my group learned alot too! I would recommend this workshop.
We had a great time with Clement and Lauriane during our afternoon in Saint Emilion! We had the pleasure of visiting two Grand Cru Classé castles and meeting Rémy and Franck, passionate about their profession! We recommend 100% 😁 Again thank you for everything and your kindness, see you soon!!

Super nice experience! The somelier was very authentic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, we learned how to choose different types of wines. We had 4 types of wine to try and he explained to us how to combine it with cheese and food. Beside the wine, they had cheese from diffrent parts of the country and the red wine with dark chocolate.
Really great wine tasting session. Fun yet informative. Jon was welcoming and easy to hang out with. Would definitely recommend a visit whilst in Bordeaux. When we return we’ll be doing the vineyard tour for sure.
I was slightly skeptical at how formal the event would be but the host made it extremely fun whilst still teaching us about the different wines of Bordeaux. The wines were excellent as was the food. Alex was such a good host, very knowledgably and very personable. We all left with a smile on our faces. Thanks Alex!
I booked the wine bar tour as part of a hen weekend for my friend. There were 9 of us. And each one of us had a fantastic time, even those who were not wine lovers, ended up finishing the tour with a new found interest in wine. It was informative but also great fun. Our host Jonathan, was great, helping out with local knowledge as well as wine. Thank you Bordeaux Wine Trails for kick starting a wonderful weekend.
