View on Google MapsThis was a great Tour! Nicola was a awesome tour guide and he truly picked the greatest spots to try gelato. There was something special about each location that we went to and I feel that I really know my Gelato now! The walking really helped because I didn't feel overly full or anything. It was an added bonus that Nicola knew some much about history and could answer so many questions while walking on the tour. What a bonus that he speaks English and Spanish so well. I highly recommend this tour.
What fun we had trying some of the best gelato we have ever tasted! It was a good time learning the difference between all the gelatos we tried and comparing which ones we liked better. Nicola was a great tour guide full of information. I would highly recommend this tour.
The tour has four stops at Gelato shops with varying lengths of walk between each tasting. Our guide Christiano was exceedingly friendly and very knowledgeable about Gelato. This was an excellent tour.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and shared with us how the very best gelato is made and where to find it. He also shared with us some of the history of Bologna which was a huge perk for us since we love learning about all the places we visit. I highly recommend this trip (and guide-Nicola) for those who want to taste REAL gelato!
Nicola was so friendly and very knowledgeable, not only about gelato but also about the city! We really appreciated his choice of gelaterias, which all had their own approach to making gelato. They all offered different options but overall very tasty. 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to Bologna, especially if you want to try authentic instead of manufactured gelato. Grazie mille mille!
We had booked a cheese, balsamic vinegar, and pasta making tour on a previous day and wanted to do something a little different for the following day; the gelato crawl seemed the perfect choice. We were not disappointed! We highly recommend this tour by Nicola. We expected some great Italian gelato, but we did not expect the in-depth overview of the differences in how gelato is made. We visited four different locations, each has a different process and uses on natural ingredients. Nicola carefully selected four locations, each had a different taste, even for the same flavors. There's a science to this process, which we should have expected, but had not considered. You will definitely not go hungry! Of the four processes, we really could not pick a favorite. We got two choices at each location, thus got to experience eight different selections. If you are wanting something really unique, we recommend two of the "ancient" flavors: Giuseppi and Zabaione! Nicola also kept in constant contact with where to meet and he helped arrange a taxi back to our hotel. Really, don't miss this tour!
Great tour!! Guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time and got to see a lot of the city.
It was a fun little tour and delicious. Nicola was very knowledgeable about gelato (how it was made and other facts). He also talked about the city as we walked around. I’d recommend this tour to any ice cream lover.
Such a fun tour! Come hungry, you won’t be able to finish all of the gelato. Off the beaten path stops and pick your own flavors!
Nicola knows his gelato! Loved all the information almost as much as I loved all the gelato. Two scoops at every stop. So much gelato! I admit I couldn't eat at all and I felt bad about that. But it was fun and well worth the time and sugar!
