View on Google MapsToday we had an amazing hike with Roberto in the San Carlos de Bariloche mountains. It was a 7-hour treck, not the easiest one, but certainly one of the best we have had in Patagonia. The beauty of this place is stunning. And our private guide Roberto was exceptional. In 5 minutes after he picked us up we became friends. Roberto told us a lot about history, geography, flora and fauna of Patagonia. We had an unforgettable experience and definitely would like to come back.
We completed a five lagoons Mountain traverse with Juan Carlos, and it was an exceptional experience. We spent hours and hours on the trail, yet they’re never seem to be a dull moment. Juan always had a story to share or just the right word of encouragement to keep us motivated and moving forward. Juan kept us safe and expertly guided us through each section of the trek and the many obstacles that are part of a journey like this. He made sure we always understood what was coming next, how long each section would take, and the type of terrain to expect. His deep knowledge of the local environment – plants, animals, and terrain – kept us confident and well prepared throughout. Juan shared wonderful stories about his family and took a genuine interest in ours, creating a warm, personal connection along the way. Each day was fueled by delicious meals made with fresh ingredients, high energy, breakfasts, and lunches, and thoughtful hydration, and snack breaks. Evenings included tea and coffee debriefs before dinner, often capped with bonus cakes and cookies. Juan’s familiarity with the trail, campsites, and fellow guides made every stop feel welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Juan and highly recommend him as a guide. His professionalism, warmth, and experience are what made the trek so enjoyable. We have trekked all over the world and this was our most memorable experience thanks to him and the beautiful mountains and glacier lakes of Argentina.
Juan was a tremendous guide. He knows the mountains and the nature of the area very well. He cares about his group, and he's a very good talker. We all talked individually to John at one point, and we really enjoyed hearing his stories and how interested he was in what we shared. He's very good people, and too patient. If we had more time, we'd love to take another hike with him.
We had two days of great hikes with beautiful views. Juan is very knowledgeable and gave us great perspective and insights to the region. Would definitely book again!!
Excellent experience, we started going up to Frey shelter and ended up going down after Lopez shelter. Four days of high intensity and with a guide that accompanied us very well. the wonderful places and very nice weather High difficulty level but worth the effort
We organize with Juanca and her team of guides a 3 day trip for the company in which I work. In total we were 36 passengers and the experience was excellent! We had a great time, enjoyed the tour and would definitely do it again. So many years of experience in the field were noticed in every step and tip! Thank you!!!
We spent 2 separate days hiking in the mountain with Javier as our guide. It was supposed to be a 2-day trek with an overnight in a refugio but the weather was too bad. We really appreciated the local insight and knowledge to be able to be flexible and arrange instead to do the first day's hike up Cerro Villegas in the estepa, where the rain wasn't as bad, and then the second day taking in both Cerro Goye and Cerro Bellavista, starting from the Colonia Suiza, so two very different experiences. We felt that we had made a friend in Javier, who is very experienced and speaks fluent English. The highlights, besides the amazing views, included witnessing condors flying nearby on both days, Javier's charango playing, home-made empanadas and the best brownies ever! Thank you for a great trip to Bariloche. We'll be back!
Camila was our guide and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and the hike was a beautiful experience we will never forget. We did Cerro Goye
Nice way to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature around Bariloche. Weather can be unpredictable so bring a rain jacket. Juan was awesome. Highly recommend this tour if you want to get into the mountains. Tour is customized to your comfort level of fitness.
Very nice trekking with Juan Carlos. We went through amazing places and ended up having lunch on a beach on the lake. Highly recommended. Juan Carlos gave us a lot of information about the area, the lakes, a little history.
