View on Google MapsMy husband and I really enjoyed the trip to Senegal to the Fathala Animal Reserve. It was wonderful to see the animals roaming free and we were fortunate to see the rhino, giraffes, different antelope species and zebra. The round trip is very long to the reserve, however, so patience is needed! Babou Carr was a very good guide and we felt very comfortable with him. Also he helped us get through the various check points and passport offices without stress. We would recommend this trip!

0650 started a Great day seeing the Gambiains going about their day. From Banjul where the locals were setting up for the day, we enjoyed local coffee and fried donuts from the street vendors. The ferry was a great experience, locals coming and going with their wares to sell for the day. Barra was also great to see, watching everyone jostle and barter for your business. All with a friendly smile. Our guide Baboucarr was always by our side. He was knowledgeable and great fun. He always had an eye out for you to ensure a safe passage through the crowds . The safari was great, just us two and the guide (and Babaoucarr) in our 4x4. Seen giraffes, buffalo, Rhino ,antelopes etc. Back for a lunch at a local restaurant where the food was great. Then returned to our hotel for 1530. A long day but very enjoyable. Thank you Baboucarr
Beautiful safari trip and also by ferry was quite an experience
Lucky enough to see all the animals, great experience both on ferry & on safari, would definately recommend
Well organised, on time etc. The guide was friendly and helpful. Don't expect 5 star luxury as this is Africa, but that's part of the experience.
Nice park, nice experience. A little more time in the park and also watching smaller animals (boar, monkey birds) would be nice!
Unfortunately we missed the ferry by minutes so the wait was an hour for the next one. There was lots to see on the ferry! The jeep on the other side was the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever travelled in. Safari was very disappointing with very few animals. Lunch was ok at a local cafe but we had to pay for our soft drinks. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful and was the best thing about the trip!
Baboucarr was a fantastic tour guide. He made us feel safe all day long and organised all parts of the tour really well. Would highly recommend.
Our guide, Babou Carr, is a legend in the Gambia safari world. It's a long day out to see the animals, but Babou made the day fun and enjoyable and I couldn't recommend a better person to take you on an adventure. In the park itself you can see rhino, zebra, antelope, giraffe and more. Would 100% recommend this tour
