View on Google MapsThis was great fun. Dionysia and her small team kept it interesting and 'hands on'. You eat what you cook (plus olives, wine etc) and there is plenty of it. Dionysia makes sure what you cook is edible! Her commitment to Greek cooking and Greek agricultural produce shone I must add that this was a class on New Year's Eve. The class ran a little overtime, with some members arriving late. We were never hurried along even though we were the last class on New Year's eve.
This was the highlight of our excursion in Athens. Experiencing authentic cuisine in such a fun environment made for an unforgettable time. But the best part was how accommodating they were to our gluten and dairy allergies. We never missed out on any part of the experience and felt like we were taken care of from the minute the class began. If I could do a class with them on every vacation I would. We have since recreated the dishes we learned with great success and continue to enjoy the memories food and the memories. Thank you for everything!

This Gyros Cooking Class was an absolute delight! From seasoning the meat perfectly to grilling and making fresh pita, everything was so tasty and hands-on. The instructors were warm, welcoming, and shared tips that made the cooking so enjoyable. We laughed, tasted as we went, and felt like part of a big Greek kitchen family. The flavors were incredible, and every bite made us smile. If you love meat, flavor, and a fun cooking experience in Athens, this class is perfect!
Dionysia and her husband Constos were a delight! We booked this the night before and the communication was quick, professional and easy. We had so much fun learning new recipes and tips and tricks of the locals. There was a ton of food so come very hungry!
It was amazing! My friends and I loved it! Such a great experience for a group of 8. For me the best part was making the pita.
The Athens Greek cooking class making pitas from scratch with a local was the highlight of our Athen’s visit and one of the best excursions we have ever experienced. Dionysia welcomed us into her home and expertly led our small group through preparation of a delicious, authentic meal that we all enjoyed together like family. She entertained us with family stories and hands on cooking tips all while enjoying her family’s wine. Would highly recommend this class with Dionysia.
Brilliant evening, so welcoming and fun. Everyone learnt loads but it was very accessible and we’ll be trying the recipes at home asap! Great communication on the day. Everyone loved it and my tween/teen thought it was the best night!
So much fun to make the best Gyros from scratch. This is family run, and they are delightful. Food was so tasty, and the homey ambiance couldn’t be better. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend this workshop. The highlight of our city trip! Zero waist policy and recipe take home. We also got an address where we could buy the herbs. Dionysia and her partner are great fun, welcoming, caring and sweet! Since we did this workshop on our first day, the gyros was nowhere tasty after that! 😂
We signed up for this class the night before, excited to learn how to make pita bread. We got there early and were invited to join another couple where we learned both gyros and philo dough! The class was hands on so come prepared to cook, learn all the tricks and eat (so much eating!). We even left with leftovers for lunch the next day. Thank you so much for the evening!
