Full day Climbing tour to Chachani Volcano 6075 m (min. 2 people)

Everything was perfectly organized from the first contact to the end. My safety was taken care of, I was asked several times during the tour how I am, if I am missing anything if I need anything. On the tour, the guide also explained a lot about the landscape planting animals.

This tour company is very helpful, flexible and responsive. I summited Chachani with guide Jarly, who is just lovely and made me feel very safe. The trek was rough though, especially since you’re leaving Arequipa at midnight. But also glad I didn’t have to do the steepest parts in the dark.

This was a brilliant excursion, although I was stuck 400 meters below the summit: not so much altitude sickness as lack of oxygen to walk. Although my grns was a little lower than I would like it is a fantastic experience to go to your limits. Because I don’t see depth very well in the dark, the first part, more or less horizontally over a very rocky bottom, was already quite challenging and it is dying cold in the dark. Don’t overestimate the offender either: your knees take quite a beating if you do it awkwardly. The Guide was a good coach and very knowledgeable.

The climb was strenuous, but it is an indescribable feeling when you reach the top. Our guide was able to motivate us well and so it was an unforgettable adventure.
