View on Google MapsWe were blown away by our tour in Madagascar. Huge shout out to our guide, Tony Danielos, and our very excellent driver, Lova. Also to Sydney, who was our guide for one day on our city tour. The local guides were awesome as well - especially Jeedy, our local guide in Andasibe. Loved Lemurs Lodge, food was terrific, and Joseph took excellent care of us. I felt like we were family the whole time we were there. The animals were awesome, loved the chameleons. and wanted to kidnap a few lemurs. They jumped on us like cats! We are planning to come back! Want to see the baobabs and Nosy Be.
We had the most wonderful time on the 3 day tour with our guides Tony, Syndey and driver Luva. They showed and shared with us how beautiful Madagascar is- it is truly an amazing inland country. We were like family after the 1st day. We wished we had booked more days. We will book with them again when we come back to see more of Madagascar. Thank you Tony, Luva and Syndey for this excellent tour. Do not hesitate to book with Friendly Tour Guide!
Perfect organization, great service, great guides!!! Thank you Danielos Tony. Special thanks to Prince Real Friendly Tour Guide Madagascar!!!
We had a great tour with an amazing driver and an extremely knowledgeable guide. We were traveling with our 3 year old daughter and they did everything possible to accomodate our needs and keep her involved. I’d definitely recommend!
This was an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly organized. We saw many animals and learned about life and culture in Madagascar. We had two kids with us and everybody enjoyed the trip.
We don't have much experience with guided tours, as we tend to travel around at our own pace HOWEVER, it was absolutely the right choice to book this tour! Our guide was a very professional young man called Lee as well as our driver Landry. Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his country, he taught us many interesting things about Madagascar during our long drives between locations. He also helped me navigate the tipping system that they have in Madagascar, which I'm totally not used to coming from the UK. Landry is also an excellent driver and made us feel very safe during our journey, despite the very "adventurous" conditions of most of Madagascar's roads. We took the 3-day Andasibe tour and were very pleased at the end of the trip. Day 1 - We were picked up from our hotel in Antananarivo and then took a roughly 4~5 hour drive east to the Andasibe area. On our way to the hotel, we stopped off at our first location, Madagascar Exotic Park, to see some of the local reptilian wildlife. They had all sorts of chameleons, geckos, snakes, frogs and other small critter that can be found across Madagascar. After a little more driving we checked-in to a lovely cottage style room at "Lemur's Lodge" We took a few hours break to drink some coffee and rest a little bit before we went out into the forest for a night-time animal spotting tour. There we had another fantastic local guide named Chris (who's father apparently started the tour business in that area) and he was very knowledgeable about the creatures of the forest. He also had the eyes of a hawk, so could spot things that we couldn't even see when he pointed them out to us! Day 2 - After breakfast in the morning we went back out in to the same forest to see some of the daytime creatures. Most notably were the Indri Indri and Sifakas lemurs. It was truely and amazing experience to see these beautiful creatures out in the wild. Again thanks to Chris and his knowledge of the forest, we were also able to see the harder to spot Bamboo lemurs. Apparently they spend most of the day asleep after eating, so see them in action is rare that the other species. We then visited another lemur park to see some different species including the Ruffed lemur. There were also more Sifakas lemurs but this time they were down on the ground eating, so were able to see their famous “dancing walk” which is absolutely adorable. In the same area we also visited another nature reserve where we could meet lots of the other beautiful creatures of Madagascar. They had many large crocodiles in particular, which of course we met from a distance! Day 3 - On the last day we could sleep in a little extra which was nice, then we headed on the long drive back to Antananarivo to hit our final stop of the tour, the Queen’s Palace. Situated on top of the hill, it’s looks out with an almost 360 degree view of the capital and the highlands beyond. Our guide there, Jackie, was also very lovely and shared with us lot’s of insight into the history of the royal family and also the many different tribes of Madagascar. Thanks again for all the great memories!
I had the most lovely trip and would recommend this 3 day tour to everyone! You do not only see the wildlife (especially loved the cute lemurs!) but experience and hear a lot about the real Malagasy life. With Nico as a perfect gentleman and driver, together with the most knowledgeable and courteous Lee as my tour guide, I always felt not only super safe, but also like I could not have a better experience. So to all other travelers out there: book this tour and see so much of Madagascar in a short amount of time!
It was my first trip to Madagascar, and I was delighted. Incredible nature, animals, interesting people, beautiful girls. I will definitely come again
This was a great experience. The guides were amiable and knowledgeable. I did not feel rushed from place to place and could take in my surroundings at my own pace. The lemurs were, naturally, my favourite part, as I'm sure is true for many guests in this beautiful country. We got face-to-face with the charming primates and saw several species. I'd be remiss to omit the reptiles from this review. We encountered numerous species of lizards, snakes, and frogs, all described in detail by enthusiastic local guides. One of the parks was also home to a small army of crocodiles. The overnight accommodation for the tour was comfortable and well-positioned for access to the nearby wildlife parks. After driving back to Antanavarino, we had a final tour of the Queen's Palace. The guide painted a vivid picture of the structure's history and those who lived within its walls. It is currently under meticulous reconstruction, but perhaps it will be complete when I visit Madagascar again.
We had a guide named Patrick who introduced us to the park with its flora and fauna. Fluent in French and very familiar with the subject, he introduced us to different types of Lemurs, the largest of whom induced them. We also went with him on a night hike where we could discover the smallest of lemurs the microcebe as well as chameleons.
