View on Google MapsA fabulous day out. Informative, easy going guide who smoothed the whole day. Birds galore. Champagne weather helped! A definite recommend
We loved it. Amazing scenery and beautiful locations. Both guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. Had yummy morning tea (nanas biscuits!) lunch and afternoon tea. The pelicans, seals and crossing the Murray were definite highlights. We’re from Adelaide and it was wonderful to see this part of our state. Highly recommend!
The tour is really recommended, we have seen many different bird species and even sea lions. Our guide was incredibly friendly and answered all our questions.

The tour was really an amazing experience. Our guide was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made the whole experience a lot of fun. We loved the serenity of the coorong and were treated to a very special visit from dolphins and seals who played around our canoes. The hike through the dunes was really beautiful and informative. Some delicious fish freshly cooked added to a delicious lunch sitting in this incredible environment.
We had a great day on this tour. I was worried that a full day kayaking tour would feel too long for us but the pace was very easy with plenty of breaks where out guide provided food. We went in a wet week in winter and plenty of care was taken to ensure we were warm and dry and safe and comfortable including provision of dry bags for our spare clothes, skirts to keep water out of our kayaks, revision of our route to include a one way route with shuttled return to avoid a possible head wind, contact made with us to check if we could reschedule to the best weather day that week, thorough safety briefings and strong emergency procedures, and accommodating our request for a kayak that would fit my very tall husbands legs in. Lunch was cooked for us by our guide whilst we explored the surf beach and was a delicious salad roll with whiting caught by the owner and wild native spinach. It was clear to me that this company puts in maximum effort to ensure that's guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
This was an amazing experience and a great way to experience the Coorong. The shorter time for the winter tour was appropriate as it can get cold. James the tour leader was very helpful and knowledgable. As a solo female traveller I felt well supported. I will be back in summer to see the change in wildlife.
The tour was an interesting adventure of a very special place, the Coorong. Our tour guide Alex was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. A little slipperry getting in the water but that was part of the adventure. I have never seen the mouth of the murray and Alex explained to us that the Coorong is at risk of salinity because of low flow from the murray. I really appreciated the explanations Alex drew in the sand as it is difficult to visualise how water currents, Murray flow and tidal movements affects not only the coastal dunes and sand movements but the entire ecosystem of the Coorong. I found it interesting that the Mouth of the Murray can move 50m in a year. Amazing part of South Australia. My favourite part was watching the Pelicans fly. Thanks Alex.
Good outing. Need basic fitness as you could be kayaking against the tide and into some waves. Spotted some seals. Caught pelicans and other birds hunting for fish. Explored some locations with rich history. Great tour guide. Beautiful road to drive back home.
We did the Sunset tour- James led us across the Muray mouth (at a safe distance) in our kayaks to Younghusband peninsula that can only be reached by boat. We explored the vegetation for native juniper berries and walked on to the shore of the Murray mouth, returning to a picnic of local cheese, wine, fruit a day homemade goodies. Highly recommended!!
Sunset 3 hour tour. Brilliant kayaking experience. Kayaking on the Coorong with backdrop of the raging southern ocean over the dunes and a spectacular sunset silhouetting the horizon. Alex our tour guide displayed confident water skills also imparting his developing knowledge of bird life and local vegetation relating to its uses by first Australians. An extensive spread of local wines, cheeses, fruit platter and authentic Aussie cookies were provided mid tour. A truly Australian estuary and coastal experience with excellent tour guide Alex. Thank you.
